International Yin Yoga Teacher Trainer Mel McLaughlin from the Yin space will be leading us for this immersion into all things Yin. An ideal course for any current or aspiring yoga teacher to attend and a deeper dive for students wishing only to expand their yin-formation and practice!
What's on offer urban training style?
Join us FEBRUARY 2024 at Tara Hall, Buddha House in Adelaide for a teacher training urban-style with Melanie McLaughlin for her inspiring 50 hour Yin Teacher Training programme. We will slip off the radar for a 5 days of yin “chill-pill”. Exploring our ‘Yin-sides’ of deep immersion into the other side of the yoga coin, we are keeping it small and intimate and you will be fully versed in the art of teaching yin when you are finished. We answer all the “whys” and practice twice to bookend the day and layer the intellectual information with somatic experience.

Why Yin?
Yin yoga is growing in popularity, largely in response to what has become a very “yang”-dominated yoga culture. People are discovering the benefits of a quieter, more still practice – not just in their physical bodies, but also in their nervous and energy systems.
ABOUT MELANIE MCLAUGHLIN
Mel has been passionate about a yin-style practice for over 14 years, through her own personal practice and self-study. In 2012 Mel formalised her training with Paul Grilley, and since then has acquired 240hrs through his Teacher Training programs in the USA. She continues to revisit him for ongoing training, and now shares this wealth of experience, insight and expertise through her very own Yoga Australia recognized 100-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, 50hr Yin Teacher Training, and Advanced Yin Teacher Training courses. She is excited to be sharing this Advanced module with you and integrate her knowledge of Yin Yoga, Qigong, MFR , Metaphysics and Acu-Energetics.
The course material you can look forward to will include:
Introduction to the energetics of Yin Yoga.
Overview of chakra theory and a sample of meditations.
Key asana ‘families’ and props including Wall Yin.
Long, deep practice Yin sessions for layering somatic experience with intellect.

PRE-REQUISITES
Participants will need to have successfully completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course prior to commencing Yin Yoga Teacher Training (copy of certificate must be seen/submitted for verification) OR email Mel@theyinspace.com for entry to the course if it is for personal enjoyment and experience, we would love you to be there for your own practice!

please attend or fulfil x5 one hour or 5 hours in total of yin yoga classes in studio /online /or from a book and log these hours down.

This training is recognized by Yoga alliance /YACEP & Yoga Australia for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and member upgrades.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
For cancellations more than 4 weeks prior course commencement, all fees will be refunded less the $500 non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations within 4 weeks of commencement date, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
For cancellations within 2 weeks of commencement date, no refund will be given. Places can be transferred should you find another who wishes to take your place
